Tomball Facilities Study Process.
Below you will find a basic flowchart of what will happen over the next few months. I have also included to the right, what we can do at each step to make our case for a new high school.
Attend the subcommittee meetings and actively participate. Educate yourself on all sides of the issue and decide what you believe would be best for the school district.
Attend the Public forum and voice your opinion for or against the Steering Committees recomendations.
Make your feelings known to the members of the school board before March 6th.
If you are in agreement with the bond vote for, if not, decide if we can afford to defeat the bond, knowing that overcrowding will be a huge problem at the elementary schools.
Keep in mind, when this bond goes to election, we cannot say "Yes, build the elementary schools but not the 9th grade campus". There will be two boxes, yes or no.
Bottom line is we need to engage the supporters of the 9th grade campus and the "undecided" voters. We need to educate them on our proposal and convince them that if the New High School goes to bond, it is an affordable and viable solution for Tomball ISD. If we do not, the bond election could fail.

Thomas thank you for taking the time to do this. I have been watching your blog for "good" information. The flow chart is great--it has helped me understand the process better.

Thanks Becky, I am glad you left a comment... sometimes I feel like I am just writing to hear myself type.
Keep up the good fight!
